William is a qualified Chartered Surveyor with over 35 years’ experience in the property industry. He started his career at CBRE working in the valuation, occupational and investment teams before moving to the Prestbury Group as an Investment and Asset manager. William joined Investec in 2001 initially to run a balance sheet property portfolio before originating and managing a lending book focusing on commercial and residential investment and development finance. In 2010, William has led the Property Asset Management team, successfully running a wide range of asset initiatives from Planning betterment, residential build outs, Build to rent management and investment restructuring and sales. From 2018 to 2024 William headed the Private Client Lending team running a £1 bn lending book providing Investment and development finance to Uk Property entrepreneurs. Having taken a sabbatical in 2025 William returned to Investec in a portfolio Business development role connecting clients to Investec’s wide range of debt products and sourcing equity opportunities for Investec’s new Equity fund REALIS.
