David is Director of the Scottish Property Federation, a representative body within the British Property Federation for the real estate sector in Scotland covering a wide spectrum of interests covering planning, energy efficiency, property taxation, and policies covering commercial and residential property law. His role includes leading engagement for the SPF across a range of industry and government groups. Prior to the SPF position David worked for the BPF in London. Before that he worked in the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, the Association of University Teachers, as a Parliamentary Researcher in the House of Lords, and for the National Audit Office. He splits his time away from the SPF between family in Bathgate and serving as a Royal Naval Reservist, based in Rosyth.
