Leigh is a senior property leader with over 30 years’ experience in acquisition and development across the industrial, leisure, office and mixed-use sectors. His career is defined by long-term value creation, disciplined governance and the ability to align complex stakeholder interests to deliver commercially successful outcomes.

Since joining Kier Property in 2005, Leigh has progressed through a series of senior roles, culminating in his appointment as Managing Director in 2015. In this role, he has led the delivery of development and investment schemes across all asset classes in both the public and private sectors, while also shaping the strategic direction and performance of the business.

Leigh plays a central role at Group level. He is a member of the Kier Group Investment Committee, responsible for authorising capital expenditure across the Group and sits on the Kier Plc Executive Committee, contributing to oversight of operational performance and holding responsibility for the Group’s operational property estate. His approach combines rigorous commercial discipline with a collaborative leadership style, enabling teams and partners to perform at their best.

Prior to Kier, Leigh built broad international experience through acquisition, development and agency roles in the UK, Hong Kong and South Korea. He has worked with a diverse range of organisations including Courage Brewery, Bass, KFC and GVA Vigers, developing a global perspective on occupier requirements, investment strategy and market dynamics.

Leigh is particularly experienced in joint venture structures, acting as a key conduit between Kier Property, Group and JV partners. He ensures strong governance, risk mitigation and commercial alignment throughout the lifecycle of projects, while serving as a trusted point of contact for senior stakeholders. His focus is always on financial viability, long-term value and delivering objectives for all parties involved.
